If there is one nightmare that every blogger faces it is what to write about next!
One of the most important things you can do is give your readers an opportunity to let you know what it is they would like you to write about – that way you are always focusing on giving people want they want but to be honest this wasn’t always easy to do without having to set up some kind of evaluation question sheet or setting up a poll on your blog that people could vote on – but which still didn’t let them give suggestions.
Well now there is Skribit – which I will be installing today (check out the right hand side) but am only just using myself. Run by three guys – two of them under 30 and one who is 30 – (about Skribit) plus an advisor who is obviously too shy to add his age!
Skribit gives you an opportunity to add a widget that will let readers tell you want they want. It cures writers block by allowing readers to add suggestions about the content they want you to include.
It’s a fantastic idea and I will see how it works over the next few months – no doubt it will attract jokers and spammers because the free version allows anonymous comments but for a small yearly fee you can upgrade to pro and only receive suggestions from people who have signed up so hopefully that will keep it down a bit! Plus you get to share your widget on unlimited blogs.
For now I am going to use the free version and then if it does help after a few weeks will upgrade. Here’s the siteĀ http://skribit.com/
