Facebook are about to provide the ability to choose use your name as a username for your Facebook profile. It’s one username per person so once it’s gone, it’s gone – this is not an opportunity you want to snooze and lose on especially if your name is Jane Smith!
If you are building your credibility and brand online you will automatically want to use your own name but for anyone who logged on to Facebook and created a profile based on their business keyword it will be interesting to see how it helps them in the search engines.

Of course people still need to be logged in to see your full profile but with the millions that are already on Facebook it certainly won’t do you any harm.

Opening Your Facebook Account With Your Keyword
