Getting into a blogging routine

by Diane Corriette on March 25, 2010

Now that I am following the Blog Success 10 30 method of writing in 10 blogs that will eventually earn me $30 a day I have to have a strict system of making sure I blog on a regular basis – otherwise months can go by before I remember I have a blog!

Since January 2010 I have been busy focusing on local search marketing but now that this has settled down and everything is in place I am back into my blogging routine and making time for it because if I don’t I can’t expect any kind of result.

A few weeks ago I wrote about the 7 reasons why you should have a blog – well once you have your blog or blogs up your next focus is on blogging regularly.

Most of my blogs focus on the start an online business type topic and my other love which is personal development. The two not in those areas are one in weight loss (because I am currently losing weight) and a dating blog.

I have a list of the domains of all 10 blogs and I simply leave the word document open until I have written something in all the blogs. As I write a post I delete the blog off the word document page and at the end of the day I have a picture of how many blogs I managed to post in one day.  If I don’t manage to do all 10 then I start with the ones I missed the next day.

It is a simple system, nothing complicated or mind blowing about it but it works for me….. and that is really all that matters. So if you don’t have a system for your blogging it is worth getting one.

I have a friend who likes to sit and write a month’s worth of blog posts in one day. Another friend who sits every Friday and writes out a weeks worth of blog posts and a blogging pal who likes to be in the moment and blog day to day.

Getting into a blogging routine is really important and it doesn’t matter how you do it just as long as you are doing it. So what works for you?
