31 days to build a better blog Day 9 – Blog Forums

by Diane Corriette on June 9, 2010

Today I will be finding relevent forums and taking part. I have spent so much time on Facebook and Twitter that I have neglected forum posting to be honest – I did join a forum back in September 2009 at Blogger Talk so will return there. I think I added one post as an introduction and that was it.

I also joined Blogger Forum which looks like it is mainly for newer bloggers now that I am in there but I will see.

I love the fact that at Blogger Talk you can add articles and take part in other ways.

Forum posting is relevant for bloggers because (as always) when you provide value you can get people looking at your blog. It is never a good idea to join a forum so you can post adverts and links to affiliate products – acting in that way will probably get you banned or at least jumped on my moderators!

Being part of a forum is all about helping people out which is why the forums you join should really focus on where you target market hang out.

Another day complete. This really is one of the easiest training schedules I have had to follow. I am keeping an eye on traffic because that is the main way I will determine how successful the 31 days to build a better blog course has been.

If you are here from either forum I appreciate you leaving a comment to let me know – give me some idea of who finds me.
